FG declares Monday May 2nd public holiday

The Federal government has declared Monday May 2nd a public holiday to commemorate workers day celebration which falls on Sunday May 1st. The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau announced this in a statement released and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung.

Mr Muhammed Lawal is currently in critical condition at the Katsina General Hospital after he was set ablaze. Narrating how it happened, Lawal said that he was sleeping outside his house at night due to the oppresive heat when he fet someone pour gasonline on him and set him on fire.
