Pomp & Flair as Lagos camp crowns Miss NYSC & Mr. Macho

It was all pomp and Flair at the just concluded Miss NYSC & Mr. Macho night at the NYSC Lagos camp, sponsored by The Place Restaurant & Bar. The Place (Restaurant and Nightclub) brand, experts at throwing excellent parties ensured that the contestants, their supporters and the judges were entertained all through the event.

They were also treated to mouthwatering dishes from the brand’s wide array of continental and local menu.


The contestants also held their end of the bargain, putting up fantastic presentations to the excitement of the spectators and were duly rewarded with great prizes.
KassimSoyebo, graduate of DePaul University, Chicago was crowned Mr. Macho while AddohEvi, graduate of the University of Port Harcourt was crowned Miss NYSC

Boko Haram attacks IDP camp bombed by Nigeria's Air Force

Days after the accidental bombing by a Nigerian air force jet, which killed at least 54 persons, Rann IDP Camp in Borno State came under another attack, this time, by Boko Haram insurgents. Witnesses in Rann said soldiers deployed to secure the bombed IDP camp battled for hours to repel over 100 Boko Haram gunmen who came attacking at about 6pm. A source from Rann said the soldiers stood their ground and killed eight of the attacking insurgents. The source, who asked not to be quoted for his security sake, said a soldier was wounded in the attack. On Tuesday, the Theatre Commander of the Lafiya Dole counterinsurgency operations in northeast Nigeria, Major General Lucky Irabor, said the air force jet that mistakenly bombed the IDP camp was actually deployed to take on an idea identified location where Boko Haram insurgents were gathering in Kala-Balge local government area of Borno State. Cristiano Ronaldo today came face to face with a scantily clad life-size double of himself in Tokyo where he is presently to promote an electric muscle stimulator for sculpting a washboard stomach. The near-nude cyber-clone was unveiled by Japanese scientists who created the silicon dummy with a 3-D scan of Ronaldo's body using 110 micro cameras. The clone also has moving facial features "It's perfect," Ronaldo smiled as he checked out the clone with fluttering eyelids and roving eyes. "I have to say he looks just like me.
